Spirituality Is Not a Luxury but a Necessity: Sachin Bansal, Soulwise

In this interview by Priya Dey, Sachin Bansal, Founder and CEO, SoulWise, talks about his three-decade journey in spiritual wellness, building a brand on authenticity in an increasingly crowded market, and where India’s spiritual wellness industry is headed.

SoulWise is a spiritual wellness brand offering authentic crystals, Rudraksha, and holistic wellness solutions along with trusted guidance, bringing knowledge, products and education under one roof for consumers across India.

India’s spiritual wellness market is expanding rapidly as young professionals, entrepreneurs and families turn to meditation, energy healing and holistic practices, even as misinformation and commercialisation grow alongside. Sachin Bansal, Founder and CEO, SoulWise, who began his practice at the age of 14 and has spent close to three decades in the field, tells us more in this context.

Q] Who is Sachin Bansal beyond the founder of SoulWise?

Beyond being the founder of SoulWise, I consider myself a lifelong student of spirituality and someone deeply committed to helping people transform their lives. I began this journey at a very young age, and over the last three decades I have devoted myself to studying Vedic wisdom, energy healing, crystals, Rudraksha, meditation, Vaastu and holistic wellness.

Spirituality is not a profession for me. It is a way of living. I believe true success is when we find balance between our mind, body, emotions and spirit. My aim is to make ancient spiritual knowledge simple, practical and accessible for modern life.

Q] You started your journey at a very young age. What got you on this path?

I was about 12 or 13 years old. I had health problems as a child, asthma, and that became a turning point in my life. My father introduced me to holistic healing and spiritual practices rather than relying only on conventional approaches.

The positive changes I experienced personally drove me to learn more. By 14, I was working alongside my father, learning the science of healing, energy work, crystals and ancient Vedic techniques. I began consulting independently at 18, though many people initially thought I was too young. In the end, age was no match for results, and trust followed naturally.

Q] What inspired you to turn your practice into a brand?

SoulWise was born out of a simple realisation: it was becoming increasingly difficult for people to find authentic spiritual guidance and genuine healing products. I wanted to create a platform where people could access trusted knowledge, authentic crystals, Rudraksha and holistic wellness solutions under one roof.

The pandemic reinforced that vision. I saw the anxiety, stress, uncertainty and emotional imbalance people were going through, and it made me realise that spirituality is not a luxury but a necessity. SoulWise started as a mission to help people reconnect with themselves while staying honest and authentic in everything we offer.

Q] Looking back on nearly three decades, what do you count as your biggest achievements?

The biggest achievement is not the awards. It is the change I have witnessed in thousands of lives. The greatest reward is when people tell me they have found peace, confidence, better relationships or renewed hope.

On a professional level, I am privileged to have received honours such as the Industry Leadership Award, the Global Business Leader Award, the Indian Icon Award for Mindfulness and Meditation Coach of the Year, and an Honorary Doctorate for my contribution to spiritual wellness. Another milestone I am proud of is the growth of SoulWise as a trusted brand without ever losing our way.

But what I am most proud of is carrying forward my father’s legacy by serving people honestly and authentically.

Q] What have been the biggest challenges you have faced as a founder, and how did you overcome them?

A major hurdle was earning trust as a young practitioner. Some people questioned my age, and my years of learning and practice did not seem to matter to them. Eventually, I stopped trying to convince people and simply focused on delivering real results.

Another ongoing challenge has been maintaining authenticity in a market with rising misinformation and commercialisation. We chose to take the harder road: real products, transparent guidance and ethical practices.

Every challenge has taught me the same lesson. Persistence, patience, honesty and faith are what finally build credibility.

Q] What are your views on the spiritual wellness industry in India today? Where is it headed?

India is undergoing a remarkable transformation. More people now understand that mental, emotional and spiritual well-being are just as important as physical health. Young professionals, entrepreneurs and families are turning to meditation, energy healing, crystals and holistic wellness. That growing awareness excites me, because it means people are becoming more conscious of their inner lives.

At the same time, people are looking for authenticity more than ever. As the industry grows, so does misinformation and the sale of products without adequate knowledge. My hope is that the industry continues to grow responsibly, with education and a genuine intention to serve.

Q] With many new players entering the space, what makes SoulWise different?

At SoulWise, we do not just sell products. We guide, educate and provide meaningful solutions.

We carefully select each crystal, Rudraksha and spiritual tool because we believe authenticity directly affects people’s trust and experience. Our recommendations are informed by knowledge and practical understanding, not trends.

We have always stood for honesty. We do not promise miracles. Instead, we encourage people to combine spiritual tools with positive action, discipline and self-awareness. That philosophy has helped SoulWise build long-term relationships with customers across India.

Q] How has your spiritual practice influenced the way you run your business and lead your team?

Spirituality has taught me that leadership begins with self-awareness.

Every day of mine starts with prayer, gratitude, meditation and self-reflection. These practices keep me calm, help me make responsible decisions, and respond with thought rather than emotion.

I aim to treat everyone with integrity and respect, and to keep learning and serving within our team. When a business is built on good intentions and real values, growth becomes a natural byproduct, not the only goal.

Q] What does a regular day look like for you as a healer, coach and entrepreneur?

My mornings begin with spiritual practices: meditation, gratitude and planning for the day ahead. That helps me get centred before work begins.

The day is usually spent consulting, supporting clients, working with the SoulWise team, creating new products, developing educational material and strategizing for the future.

These roles balance each other because they all share the same purpose: helping people live healthier, happier and more meaningful lives. Work that is aligned with your purpose feels less like a job and more like a calling.

Q] What is your vision for SoulWise in the coming years, and what is your message for young entrepreneurs?

I want to build SoulWise into one of the most trusted spiritual wellness brands in India, while taking authentic Vedic knowledge to the world. Our intention is to build a community where people feel less stressed, more clear and more deeply happy within, supported by real guidance and real products.

To young entrepreneurs, my advice is simple: never trade your values for short-term success. Build with integrity, consistency and patience. The ones who succeed are the ones who create genuine value.

And to everyone on a wellness journey: healing is not about becoming someone else. It is about reconnecting with the best version of yourself. Trust the process, be patient, and keep walking in faith.
