Sudarshan Venu to Take Over as Chairman & MD of TVS Motor Company

New Delhi: TVS Motor Company has announced that Sudarshan Venu will become the new Chairman and Managing Director (CMD) starting August 25, 2025. This big decision was taken by the Board of Directors to recognise his great work in helping TVS grow and move forward during his time as Managing Director.

Sudarshan Venu said he is thankful to the Board for giving him this big responsibility. He shared that he feels honoured and is looking forward to shaping the company’s future. He also thanked Chairman Emeritus Venu Srinivasan, his father, for building a strong base for TVS by focusing on customer needs, quality, and technology.

Sir Ralf Speth to Step Down, Will Continue as Chief Mentor

The current Chairman, Sir Ralf Speth, has shared that he won’t continue as a Director after the next Annual General Meeting (AGM) on August 22, 2025. But the good news is, he will still stay connected with TVS as the Chief Mentor for the next three years, starting from August 23, 2025. This means the company will still benefit from his global experience and leadership.

Sudarshan Venu appreciated Sir Ralf Speth’s role in helping TVS Motor grow internationally, bring in global talent, and adopt modern ideas. He said he looks forward to learning more from him as Chief Mentor. Sudarshan also praised the TVS team and said their energy and hard work are the real reason behind the company’s success.

Sir Ralf Speth, who has been Chairman for the past three years, said it was an honour to lead TVS Motor. He thanked the team and said he is confident that Sudarshan Venu’s energy and vision will take TVS even further. He wished the company a bright and successful future.

Venu Srinivasan, who served as the Chairman before, also thanked Sir Ralf for guiding TVS through important global changes. He shared his full confidence in Sudarshan Venu and said the company is in strong hands.
